Thesis antipsychotic use in elderly: cardioprotective effect?
In his thesis Bart Kleijer from Utrecht the Netherlands showed a significant decreased risk of hospitalisation for acute coronary syndrome in patients using antipsychotics. It is not clear wether there is any cardioprotective effect or a high non-referral rate in elderly antipsychotic users with acute myocardial infarction.
On 21 November the Strategic Implementation Plan on the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy aging has been published by the European Commission.
