EMA Workshop London
The European Medicine Agency organizes at 22-23 March 2012 a workshop: ensuring safe and effective medicines for an ageing population. Several members of the Geriatric Expert Group will give a talk. Dr PAF Jansen will talk about the availability of information on old persons in SmPC and EPAR in 53 recently approved documents. The pdf of his talk is available on this page.
Workshop general objectives:
- Present and discuss the EMA
geriatric medicines strategy and related activities
- Provide an opportunity to highlight synergy areas between stakeholders
- Offer a sounding board for the
actions undertaken by and expected from EMA and its committees by stakeholders
- Identify gaps in the strategy, and finding a common understanding of the priorities for action in the area
On 21 November the Strategic Implementation Plan on the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy aging has been published by the European Commission.
